Everyone on this planet has a big dream. Likewise; I also have a childhood dream. This dream is not only my dream, it's my father's, mother's dream. I want to become an IPS officer & serve my state & most of all my country. I want to help poor people. Also, I want to give free education to the poor children who could not afford fee & all.

My parents provide that I need & they encourage me to do hardwork. I am trying my best to make my parents proud. I study day & night for the said exam. I read The Hindu newspaper every single day to keep myself updated regarding the recent happenings. I don't procrastinate things. I am an avid reader. I love to read polity, geography, history, civics, etc. And I hope one day I will crack the exam.

Duties of an IAS Officer

The duties of an IAS officer are to maintain public law and order in his area, to main administration works under the government of India, to supervise government affairs, to frame, make & implement new government policies, to keep track of the expenditure & submit expenditure reports to the state legislature. 

An IAS officer has the power to frame new rules and policies for the development of a particular area. Suppose you are an IAS officer, you can make new schools & colleges wherever you feel there is a need.

Eligibility Criteria for an IAS Exam

  • The first & foremost thing is that a candidate must be a graduate & should have a bachelor's degree in any stream (Humanities/Commerce/Engineering/Medical//Law).
  • The second thing is that a candidate must be a permanent resident of India.
  • A candidate must be 21 to 32 years.
  • A candidate can only appear 6 times in the exam.

How to become an IPS officer

  • Anyone who wants to become an IAS must crack the UPSC civil services exam. It is conducted in  three parts, the first phase is called prelims, the second one is called mains exam, & the final one is an interview.
  • The interview is conducted to check the personality of the candidates.
  • History, polity, geography, economics & current affairs questions are asked in the exam.
  • And candidates are alloted different positions  on the basis of merit.
  • Anyone who wants to crack this exam should read NCERT books thoroughly.
  • He must be motivated to study for atleast ,8 hours every day.
