Independence Day Speech 2022
Independence Speech For Students: With great reverence and respect, I would like to greet you all on this auspicious day of Independence ie; 76th Independence Day. The day, when our India got freedom from the British Government. The day, when we started to taste the nectar of Independence. The day, when we got right to education, and freedom of expression. The day when we got our basic rights etc.
Everyone wants to be independent. No one wants to live like a caged bird that we were living ere 15th August 1947.
Even birds and animals want to live independently, and so want humans.
For nearly 200 years, the British Government ruled us. We were being treated as animals. They destroyed our GDP. They looted all our resources. They were torturing poor Indians day and night.
And made them their slaves. They tried to divide Hindus and Muslims, Christians and Sikhs. They induced many conflicts among Indian citizens.
But, after all this Brtish Suppression, the great Indian leaders like Mahatama Gandhi, Jawahar Lal Nehru, etc, ignited a sense of freedom among the Indians and tried their best to end the British Suppression.
The people supported the movement and battled against the inhumane suppression of the British Government. Some freedom fighters lost their lives in battles against the British.

And finally, their sacrifice paid off and our India achieved freedom from the Britishers on 15th August 1947 officially.
As proud citizens of India, we should love our motherland. We should not indulge in bad activities. We should try our level best, like our freedom fighters did, to serve our Nation.
At last, I would like to sum up my speech with the following line;
''Happy Independence Day''
